The XV International Meeting on Locational Analysis, organized under the auspices of the European Working Group on Locational Analysis, will be held at the Saarland University in Saarbrocken, Germany from September 5-8, 2004.
The meeting will cover both quantitative and qualitative methods for location theory, modeling and planning. Talks addressing how to put location theory to work in fields like Supply Chain Planning or GIS are especially welcome. All related areas from operations research, economics, mathematics, geography and engineering in both the academic and business community are invited for participation.
To stimulate discussions we are trying to avoid parallel sessions. Therefore we are limited in the number of abstracts which can be accepted. A presentation should take no longer than 20 minutes + 5 minutes for discussions. In addition there will be three longer overview presentations (approx. 45 minutes). Everybody is invited to volunteer for an overview presentation by indicating this in his abstract submission. The scientific committee will then choose the three most suitable ones.
Moreover, the publication of a special issue of Computers & OR is planned, containing papers of the meeting.
Attending the EWGLA XV can ideally be combined with the OR2004 conference in Tilburg (Netherlands) jointly with the German OR Society (Web: www.uvt.nl/OR2004
