The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) today announced that it has selected the Federal Communications Commission as one of six finalists for the 47th annual Franz Edelman Award for Achievements in Operations Research and Management Science, which recognizes corporate, non-profit, and governmental organizations that have used operations research and related tools to solve complex problems.
